About us

Belmont Academy began in 1981 as the Piano Preparatory Department of the Belmont University School of Music and was founded by Linda Ford and Dr. Jerry Warren. In May of 1996, the University established Belmont Academy to offer lessons in all disciplines. The Academy currently offers instruction for all ages in piano, traditional and Suzuki strings, guitar, voice, and various winds, brass and percussion.

Where are we located?

The Belmont Academy office and studios are located in the Massey Performing Arts Center on Belmont University’s campus. Belmont University is located approximately 3 miles south of downtown Nashville.
